Even though the start of the 2020-2021 school year is nothing like any of us expected, you'll likely still need some basic supplies to supplement virtual learning. This weekend August 7-9, 2020 is the Virginia Tax-Free Holiday. Many school supplies and clothing items can be purchased tax-free to help save some money.
From the VA tax website: “School supply,” means an item that is commonly used by a student in a course of study. For purposes of the sales tax holiday, the term does not include computers.
