Water Parks and Pools
Without a doubt, one of the best ways too cool down on a hot summer day is by hitting the water! We are so lucky to have so many awesome options in our area. Many community pools are managed by HOAs or neighborhoods, so be sure to check directly about access and/or membership. Here are some public options for waterparks, pools, and splash pads.
- Atlantis Waterpark at Bull Run in Centreville
Located in Centreville, Atlantis Waterpark has two waterslides, pools (including a baby pool), and a 500 gallon dumping bucket! Hungry? Stop by Neptune's Reef for lunch or a snack.
Features spray elements, a water-squirting spider, water cannons, and a bucket drop.
- Middleburg Community Center in Middleburg
An original feature to the Middleburg Community Center, this pool is one of the oldest in Loudoun County! It's had renovations recently including all new coping stone, concrete, diving board, painting, pool fence, furniture, and more.
- Dulles South Recreation & Community Center Pools in South Riding
Prefer to going swimming without needing the SPF? The Dulles South Recreation & Community Center Pools are indoors and open year-round! Check out the competition pool for laps and the Leisure Pool & Slide for fun!

What is more refreshing than cold ice cream on a summer day? Enjoy a tasty treat at these local scoop shops!

With more than 30 different homemade flavors (12 offered each day), there is no surprise why Peterson's is voted Best Ice Cream in Northern Virginia by Northern Virginia Magazine.
- Burke Lake Park Ice Cream Parlor in Fairfax Station
Stocked with several flavors of ice cream, snacks, and drinks and conveniently located near Shelter D is nearby, this is a great place to cool off after a day at the park. While you're there, stop by and ride the train or play a round of mini-golf.
